This helps alot. I haven't read the Hawaii book by Twain but thought of it because when I was planning a trip there it was coincidentally reviewed in the NY Times as part of a retrospective on Twain in the South Pacific. When I was in Hawaii the paperback was in alot of the bookstores so your comment on the sad trail off in library withdrawals may have some upside in paperback printings. I never realized that the tickets in library books now aren't actually from the book itself. The Slackers Bookclub is a font of arcane knowledge and not to be missed!
